2009 Quiz Night Many thanks to everyone who came along to our fourth annual quiz night, which took place at the City Tavern on Thursday 7th May 2009. Special thanks to our friends from Rain Men, Weekenders, New Barbarian Weasels, English Heritage, and Village, for taking part and supporting the event. And also to this year's excellent quiz-masters, Chris Gould and Tom Everest. Congratulations to the New Barbarian Weasels, who continued their Allstars quiz hegemony by sealing their third consecutive win. But it was a close-run thing, and just behind the Weasels in second place were the Village, featuring our own Paul 'KP' Bowman, and Alan White. And there was a good showing from Big Gay Al's Big Gay Quiz team, who apart from the eponymous Mr Williamson also comprised Jim Jarrett, and Rahoul 'the future of British Conservatism' Bhansali. James Hindle headed up the English Heritage CC team. Tim Herbert, Vivek Seth, Chadders and Morgsy - whose team scored a very impressive ace on the music round. Alan, Bill, Marcus, Terence, and the chap whose name I always forget, from the Rain Men. Rob Jackson, his partner Wendy, and their team. Scratch joined forces with Roger Pordes, his partner Beth, and their friend Paul Ross, to form the Mofos team. Tristan's team - starring David and Miranda Jollie - looked on course to win until encountering problems in the music round. Chris Douglas and the Weekenders team.
